Q: What are the goals and mission of the Chamber?
A: The Fenton Regional Chamber of Commerce's mission is exemplified by their branding statement "Where Community and Commerce Connect." The Chamber is committed to providing numerous services that promote and support businesses - from home-based to divisions of Fortune 500 companies - in the greater Fenton and Linden region.

The Chamber's mission states: The Fenton Regional Chamber of Commerce exists to be a strong advocate for member businesses through services and resources, while fostering the economic vitality and prosperity of our region.

Q: What is the "Region" in Fenton Regional Chamber of Commerce?
A: The Chamber serves businesses and other organizations in Genesee, Livingston and Oakland Counties. The Fenton Regional Chamber of Commerce changed its name in 2006 to address its growing services and service area. Regional was added to the name as the Chamber now provides services to the communities of Argentine and Linden. Discussions continue with other communities about the possibility of joining forces.

Q: I'm thinking of becoming a member. What are the benefits of a Chamber membership?
A: There are many benefits to becoming a Fenton Regional Chamber of Commerce member. The Chamber hosts numerous annual programs and events that promote area business and inspire civic engagement and pride.

Q: Where is the Chamber office located?

Q: Does the Chamber have regular Member meetings?
A: Although we don't have a traditional business meeting, our members meet and interact at monthly networking events, committee meetings and additional special events presented by the Chamber each month. Please refer to the Calendar of Events page for a listing or our current events.***LINK***

Q: What type of events does the Chamber sponsor?
A: Each month the Chamber hosts a variety of events for our members and the community. A current listing of events can be found on the Calendar of Events page.

Some of our major events include: Fenton Community Expo, Taste in Fenton, Fenton Freedom Festival, Golf Scramble, An Event So Good It's Scary, JingleFest and Annual Dinner. In Linden, the Chamber organizes: Sizzle on the Shore and Breakfast with the Easter Bunny.

Q: What kind of opportunities are there for getting involved with the Chamber?
A: Most of the Chamber's work is carried out by committees that focus on the following areas: Ambassadors, Business Issues, Career Connections, Marketing, Political Action Team, Governance, Finance, and Events.

As a member, you can become more involved in one (or more) of our committees.

Q: What does it cost to become a Chamber member?
A: Membership dues are based on the number of full-time employees in your organization using the following table. Two part-time employees are counted as one full-time. Membership dues must be paid in full at time of application and may be a tax-deductible business expense. We offer a payment plan at no extra cost. For information, contact our office. Q: Can you tell me a little more about the Fenton region?
A: 18 lakes and a perfect location on US-23 between Ann Arbor and Flint make the Fenton region a prime location. Fenton offers the best of a growing southern Genesee County and is located just north of a booming Livingston County. Proximity to Brighton, Ann Arbor and metro Detroit's northwestern suburbs also drives Fenton's growth.

The cities of Fenton and Linden and surrounding communities have experienced significant population growth over the last 10 years and such growth is projected to continue. Fenton has the fastest growing population of any city in Michigan under 25,000 residents. In the 2000 census Fenton had 12,968 residents. Over 700,000 people live within a 30 minute drive of Fenton. Median household income of $71,094.00 outshines the national average of $41,994.00

The region has experienced planned growth with new retailers and restaurant groups. Target, Home Depot, Walmart, Buffalo Wild Wings, Panera Bread and numerous financial institutions have recently located in Fenton.
